SUSTAINABLE DESIGN

Our design goal is to produce a plan that is in harmony with the natural site and with significant structures on the project site.  We see these as the major components of that goal: Creating functional, accessible, and safe facilities. Detailing the construction to provide durability, enhanced structural soundness, and easy repair or replacement of components.  Creating a sustainable facility that has low maintenance costs, low operating costs, and positive impact on the environment.  Gurlitz Architectural has completed projects for State & Federal agencies with mandates for both High Performance Building Standards and LEED Design Standards.

 

SITE MASTERPLANNING

Gurlitz Architectural provides large scale land planning and design services.  These services range from individual development master-plans to community based urban design.  We have provided master plans for private campuses, mixed-use developments, as well as office & commercial projects.  In addition, we have conducted urban design charrettes for established communities who wish to envision and guide future growth and redevelopment.

 

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Project Managers at Gurlitz Architectural work with Owners, Contractors, and Consultants to maintain up-to-date pro formas, programming documentation, and detailed design & construction schedules throughout the project.

 

CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION - QUALITY CONTROL & QUALITY ASSURANCE

Gurlitz Architectural provides in-house construction administration services fully integrated with the project team at inception to “keep every board nailed-down.”  Gurlitz Architectural integrates quality control and quality assurance at each stage of the design process.   It is our belief that integrating and implementing "best practices" ensures a productive and successful outcome.
